Welcome to Mission: Residency Seminars 2011

Mission: Residency, in cooperation with The USMLE Zone, is proud to launch the 2011 Seminar Season.  Mission: Residency is a group of IMGs that have succeeded in the United States thanks to the help, kindness & support of US-based MDs like Dr Barone and The USMLE Zone's very own Dr Brian.  Conducting and organizing these seminars is our way of helping fellow IMGs.  Your support helps us continue our efforts to bring positive change for IMGs looking to begin their careers in the U.S.

With the success and wonderful reviews from our 2009 & 2010 Seasons, we are very excited to have Dr Brian back as he volunteers his expertise & time to help our cause.  Click Here to Watch the Trailer.

The Interviewing for Residency online seminar we introduced  in October of 2009 was ment for Dr Brian's students that could not make it to New York City for live residency interview training.  The seminar grew through positive word of mouth and we've been honored to be part of our student's journey.

The student's that have benefited can thank our alumni over the past few years for caring enough to be honest with both positive and negative (constructive criticism).  We listened and improved with every seminar.  One of the most common suggestions: "I wish you guys had this seminar sooner" or, "I should have done this sooner.  And so here we are in  June 2011, 3 months before any interviews are offered...listening to the docs that came before you because we knew they were right.

For the 2011 Match Season, we proudly bring a bigger & better version of last year's successful seminar: "Master The Interview 2010' with Dr Brian

One on One IV

~The One-on-One tutoring session is the fastest & most efficient way to prepare for your interviews. For docs with interviews just around the corner, over the past couple of seasons over half of the 1-on-1 IV students have had their interview within 1 to 3 days after the session...and have rocked their interviews.

~ You will begin with a mock interview and overall evaluation. Dr Brian will conduct the toughest mock interview you could possibly imagine.  This method is meant to expose EVERY POSSIBLE MISTAKE you'd likely make in an interview...and spend the next few hours working on helping you fix them!

~ Based on your information & feedback, Dr Brian will help you design, draft answers and perfect answers, working with you to make sure the answers truly reflect your true thoughts, ideas & feelings . . . so you can put your best foot forward on interview day.

~ Learn proper & effective gesturing/posture/speaking

~ Evaluate previous interviews to make sure you improve future interview opportunities

~ Based on your ERAS application, CV, history & program you are applying to, Dr Brian will make sure you're ready explain any potential, 'weak spots' that programs may try to expose

~Practice & perfect your unique interview answers

Average length of session is between 5-8 hours.
