"IV Prep w/Dr Brian": Session 1, Special Course

ANNOUNCEMENT,  April 09, 2012:  We are excited to announce Session 1 for the IV Prep/Match Seminar w/Dr Brian.  Each year, without fail, we have found that our doctors that prepared for their IV's earlier had the most number of prematch offers and, if they went to the match, were more likely to match into their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices.  

We will continue a special program this year that allows 10 students to begin working and perfecting their IV skills in the months prior to their 1st interview.  The group will complete our popular 4-Day IV Prep Session during the month of May, learning all the basic skills so that each doc can begin training.  Over the next few months, you will work closely with Dr Brian each week, formulating, fixing and fine-tuning your own unique answers that will demand that programs take notice.

Summary of Session 1 Special Class:

~ 4-Day IV Prep w/Dr Brian, Online Interactive Course (regularly $499)

~ bi-weekly scheduled practice time w/ Dr Brian throughout the summer

~ Guidance & Assistance with your Personal Statement

DATES: 

~ First class May 19th (covering complete 4-Day IV Prep Course)

~Follow-up Practice- Every 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month (June-Sept)

~Access to Refresher IV Prep Session Sept-Dec

4-Day IV Prep w/DrBrian

Join Dr Brian for our 3rd Season of Acclaimed & Proven IV Prep Seminars.  We have just completed Session 1 for 2011, so look those docs to post reviews in the testimonial section.

We strongly encourage docs that intend to take this course to do the EARLIER sessions, as it will allow for more practice/prep time after the session ends.  As incentive to encourage sitting for earlier, Session 2  will include an ADDITIONAL DAY of training/practice and instead of a 4 -day session, it will be 5 Days.  

This session will cover the same material as later sessions BUT have the following advantages: The pace for this class will not be as intense , there will be added advanced material, and an element of 1-on-1 time.

Session Days that fall on WeekDAYS (between Mon-Fri) will take place from 4pm-12 midnight.

Session Days that fall on WeekENDS (Sat & Sun) will take place from 9pm-5pm.

1-on-1 Private IV Prep w/ DrBrian

The One-on-One  tutoring session is the fastest & most efficient way to prepare for your interviews.  Session can either be live in-person (usually in the NYC area and nearby cities) or online and can last anywhere 5 to 10 hours.  (This season, the every one-on-one has lasted at least 8 hours, with one session lasting 11 hours. It is a FULL day of prep work.  Also note that in the NYC area, we have kept the rate low.  The average hourly rate for an regular USMLE/MD tutor = $200-400 an hour with programs like MST.  )

You will sit for an intensive, thorough mock interview.  Based on your mock interview, CV/ERAS strengths & weaknesses, and your own unique situation, Dr B will work with you will work on building your, 'perfect' answers for your residency interview.

Dr B will go as long as necessary until he (and you!) are confident enough to sit for an interview the next day.
